Despite the obvious curvature of iTunes and the limitations of the iPod, alternative players will never appear in the app Store. Apple does not tolerate competition. Therefore, dTunes can only be installed from Cydia and, to our delight, absolutely free. In terms of functionality this application surpasses the built-in iPod and looks like a bunch of other MewSeek alternatives.
Files for playback can be uploaded through any file manager bypassing iTunes. The folder where the files are stored / var / mobile / Library / Downloads / By the way, downloaded programs from AppShare are also stored here 🙂
An additional joy is the ability to download music and movies from the Internet from any servers. Search sources are specified in the settings. And the most interesting thing is working with torrents. The latter is a unique opportunity for iPhone, not mastered by other programs.
To download from torrents, go to the Search section and click the Torrents tab. By default, the site for searching piratebay is set, but of course you can add your own. Find a torrent file, download it. Then go to the Browse section and open this file. A window will appear prompting what to do next 🙂 And the following should be done. Exit the program and open the Terminal program, it is installed with dTunes. At the command line, enter ./gettorrent. After that, the file download process will go.
Of course, communication with the command line is not a joy for everyone, but it is compensated by the limitless volumes of torrents.
P.S. With this program, you can output video from iPhone to your TV. To do this, you need to make the settings in the Setting section. And of course, buy a special cable 🙂
The program is installed from Cydia.
