Online accounts are used everywhere: on social networks, postal services, online shopping and online services. To enter VKontakte, for example, you need to enter your mail or phone number and password. It is not convenient to do it manually. Excalibur is a small but not important application that will turn your iPhone into a digital key to your personal virtual space. With this application, you can authorize in your accounts on the Internet in one motion – no logins and passwords, one gesture. We have tested this service. The developers could not bring to mind a good idea … I want to make a reservation right away that Excalibur is only friendly with web browsers Google Chrome and Mozilla FireFox (there are corresponding extensions for them). If you use someone else to access the network, authorization on sites using Excalibur will not work. In addition to authorizing websites using iPhone, the application allows you to lock and unlock your Mac and Windows, as well as end a user session. To connect an iPhone to a computer on the latter, you need to install your own cross-platform client and pair the devices via the Internet via 3G, LTE or Wi-Fi, the speed of the GPRS connection is not enough for a stable connection. After connecting clients on a computer and an iPhone and installing extensions for the Internet browser used, the application on the computer must, according to all the rules, send a request to the mobile device and automatically authorize with the account when receiving a response. In reality, I have never been able to log in with my username and password through Excalibur on the Internet, a request for iPhone is not received. Computer control (blocking, logging off) works in the presence of high-speed Internet. Communication over the GRPS channel is unstable and often interrupted. The developers have a good idea, nevertheless, it is more convenient and faster to log in with a gesture than with a username and password. Excalibur does not need a description and setup instructions, since it is not always clear what and how to do, and what the result will be. At the time of this writing, Excalibur controls the computer, but even in supported browsers, authorization with Excalibur does not occur.
