Orris HD is a linear platformer for iPad, whose outer shell is not only not attractive, but even repulsive. The launch of the game did not bode well: a black screen, simple inscriptions in English, no icons and interface elements that the eye could catch on to. Do not rush to draw conclusions, as in the case of the mega-popular Flappy Bird, the graphical shell is not a formula for success, the main thing is gameplay. I was convinced of this too, with the gameplay of Orris HD everything is in order, why? Complicated! The feeling of gambling excitement that arises at your fingertips after hundreds of unsuccessful attempts to pass elementary obstacles is very annoying, but it simply does not allow you to tear yourself away from the tablet. 
The task in Orris HD is outrageously simple, from point “A” to point “B” it is necessary to transfer the game character, which is difficult to call such, just a black spot, something remotely reminiscent of the outline of a man. Get ready for the fact that it will take you about 5-7 minutes to complete the second level in arcade mode, depending on your dexterity and coordination, and this despite the fact that you can walk in a straight line in 3 seconds. 
In total, Orris HD has 2 game modes: arcade and classic. In the first mode, you are given only 10 lives to complete, plus one for each level passed. There is nothing to brag about, on the second level I had to tap on “Restart” three times. In the classic, in the game it is called “Normal”, the number of lives is not limited, but it is not easier to play from this, unless you have to start the game from the beginning. Obstacles in your path will be thorns, circulars, chasms, carriages and much more. Any, even the slightest, contact with an obstacle entails instant death of the hero, so you simply have no right to make a mistake. There are only 3 movements in the game: forward, backward and jump. The correct and timely combination of these movements guarantees either success or failure. Free tip: start the game in “Normal” mode, so your device will live much longer. 
Strange, in my opinion, is the ability to change the location of the buttons of the virtual joystick, you can change their location on the screen as you like. What is the “trick”, I do not understand. 
Did I like Orris HD? Yes, and even very much, the game is addictive, makes you actively work with your fingers, eyes and brain. Is she worthy of the TOP in App Store?
