Good day, dear friends! Today we will talk about how you can have a little, so to speak, “fun” with your device and further expand the possibilities of customizing your desktop. There are many ways to create empty icons, but all of these instructions have one big and important “But” – they all require hacking (that is, jailbreak), which, you see, is not always acceptable for every user. But today I will tell you how you can improve the situation and create an empty space on your desktop WITHOUT a jailbreak. How to do it? Let's find out! So, to the point: 1) First, we need a desktop completely crammed with icons. 
2) Notice one thing in the screenshot above – the location of the folders and icons. In order for the trick to work 100%, we need 3 programs, 2 of which we put into a folder and place it second from the left in the bottom row of icons, as well as a program that we rarely / do not use at all, which we place at the extreme on the right in the same row. In my example above, the 2 programs folder is Utilities, and the program I don't often use is Stocks. 3) Next, the most important part – we just go into our folder with 2 programs, grab it with our finger and drag it to the program on the right, but DO NOT put it there, that is, we seemed to want it, but changed our mind. Once again: just hold your finger on the program in our folder, then drag it to the “program – not often used”, and then drag it back to the folder. 
4) After the performed actions, in the place where the folder with two programs should have been formed, a folder with one program remains. Just go to the folder and drag the program to any place on your desktop. The folder and program are gone! 
5) That's it! Do this operation as much as you want and customize your desktop as you like! People do for example like this:

Precautions
Just want to say about the things you need to know. After the performed procedure, you will find: – “disappeared” icons will appear when you enable “multitasking” and in general when you turn on any system animation. – when connected to iTunes, the latter will ask you to reboot to continue working. – well, as you may have guessed, after the reboot, the “void” will disappear.
